Almost 20 month old DD cranky,fussy,tantrums etc! help!
DD never was cranky or fussy until about 1 wk ago...she will be 20 months on Sunday.She is not sick (is teething though)but she has been having tantrums & whining & cranky over everything. Is this normal for her age ?? I am at a loss!!!

Welcome to Terrible 2's!!
DS started this. He started around 14 - 15 months, but that was due to teething. It got better and now that he's older (23 months) he'll have some tantrums. At the age where they're more curious and don't like being told they can't do something. Even if we're trying to protect them.

I was just commnting to DH last night - the whining is killing me!  He's not doing full-on tantrums, but it's non-stop whining all day long .

Scarlet has started this too....she is 16 months old. She is teething..but seems to be always crying lately.

Scarlet has started this too....she is 16 months old. She is teething..but seems to be always crying lately.
Yup! 16 months here too and had been like this for the last month or so. Very whiny, crying alot, hitting, MELTDOWNS like crazy over everything! Fun times!

19 months here and the tantrums and whining are KILLING ME....forget the past few days where I told him he could NOT go outside because it was raining. This kid certainly does not like the word "NO."

ditto! 19 month old DS hears "no" even if you're not saying it to him and he freaks! starts whining and screaming and is so smart he does this fake crying thing! it makes me crazy!!!!! yesterday i said no more coloring we have to get ready to leave...threw the crayon on the floor and proceeded to lay on the floor screaming and whining. so i left the room. he got quiet and followed me and when he found me he laid on the floor there and did the same thing! he knows what hes doing and thats what makes me most crazy!!!

Ann has really been turning on the waterworks and dropping on her arse whenever we tell her the opposite of what she wants!!
I keep telling her (and DH), she's lucky she's so darn cute!!
