I'm crashing the board at 30 weeks with a ?

I m thirty weeks and 1 day today. I went to my ob at 29 weeks for a check up..to find out she tells me i am contracting...not in pain it felt more like gas pains....she told me to go to the hospital....the admitted me ....i was hooked up to magnesium...contractions stopped ..then hey put me on procardia...hey ended up coming back...had two steriod shots for my lo lungs just in case she came early....they put me back on mag...so then i ended up gn on indocin....they took me off the mag ...no contractions as of this min since 5/17 at 9 am. Now i am waiting to finish my indocin regimen tomorrow morn at 11:30 am will be my last dose hopefully the contractions stay away if they do I will just be on a two times a day dose of procardia n bed rest till about 35-36 weeks fingers crossed it works but i just wanted to see if any of you ladies have been or knew or know someone who has taking these drugs ...if so did mom or baby have any side effects? Thank you in advice for taking the time to read this post ....im stuck in the hospital and trying to not stress / cry so i don't harm my lo so i have become a blogger and Facebook stalker while being stuck in the hospital for almost a week :(

no experience, but wanted to give you i would assume you and your LO will be ok if doctors are giving it to you.

i was on both of those drugs...i had a short cervix at 20 weeks and got progressively worse and at 23 weeks had a cerclage. i was on indocin for up until 32 weeks only on weekends b/c you can't take it for more then 7 days straight, and i was on procardia every day till the end of my pregnancy. i had no side effects from the procardia but the indocin made me very nauseous and they had me take maalox with it.

yep i was on them too!! the girls were fine and so was i!! don't worry you are in good hands!! just rest rest rest!! i can't stress that enough!!!!

I was on procardia as well--they took me off at 37 weeks and I delivered withing 24 hours! But the medicine definitely worked for me! I remember not really liking the medicine but I can't remember exactly why, maybe a bit of a headache after I took it? I can't remember! But I would take it again if I needed to! Hang in there

At 31 weeks, I was admitted for a few days due to contractions and was given steroid shots. I started taking Procardia from that point up until 36 weeks. After I stopped Procardia, I was walking around having contractions and was 3 cm dilated for a week. I had a healthy baby girl at 38+ weeks. As for side effects, my blood pressure would occasionally drop low and I would get dizzy. I kept a bp cuff at home to monitor. Hang in there
