Carpentar Bees extermination
I can't take it anymore. I have an 11month old baby and these bees are taking over undnerneath my cedar shingles. I do not want my dd around these bees! We bought the house over a year ago n my neighbor said that the bees have been there forever. I need to get rid of them and i got one quote today BUT the problem is id i have to hire a contractor to seal the holes in which they are laying the eggs. So, Id like to get some more quotes and maybe have a company seal the holes up for me too. Anyone recommend an exterminator?? thank u!

Re: Carpentar Bees extermination
If there aren't too many holes and they're within reach, you can seal them yourself. Wait until dark (the bees are not active then) and use silicone caulk to seal all the holes. The bees will not be able to get out (or in) and the problem will be solved.
We used to have an exterminator contract and it didn't cover bees. The exterminator was very nice and told us we could pay him to do it, or we could do what I just described above. It's very easy as long as all the holes are within reach (our were in the railings around our deck). And it did solve the problem.
