Borgata Review

I just got back from AC and thanks to those who recommended the Borgata we had a great time. DH and I are NOT gamblers but there was always something for us to do.

Hotel:
We had valet parking which at check out cost us $5 for the 4 days we were there. The hotel was very clean and luxurious. Check in took about 5 mins as did check out. The staff is so pleasant and friendly. The room was large and clean. We stayed on the 32nd floor and the room had a window wall with a view of the ocean during the day and city lights during the night. Beds and pillows were very comfy (no bed bugs). The bathroom had a large shower with a bench and you could set the shower knob to a certain temperature, it was so great.

Restaurants:
Old Homestead-while its on the expensive side, the food was amazing! The service was fantastic. We spent about $175 for 2 (appetizer, entree, wine for me and beer for DH). We ate dinner here twice.

Bobby Flay-OMG sooooo good. I was so stuffed from the meal that I couldn't have dessert but did have a cappuccino that was great. Next time I would skip the appetizer just to have dessert. The service was also fantastic.

Borgota Buffet-we had breakfast here 2 days. The buffet is large, Good selection of pastries, eggs, potatoes, sausages, bacon, fresh fruit and an area where you can have an omelette made your own way.

Entertainment/Spa:
Club Mir Mir- there was good music but def a young crowd. A lot of drunk girls in their early 20's getting sloppy. It was very crowded. You can reserve a table on the dance floor, they section off the 4 corners of the dance floor. Had I known I would've reserved one. Oh and you should get there by 10pm when they open cause when we left at 2am and there was a line around the casino to get in.

Comedy Club-the tickets are $20 each and so worth it. The show was about 90 mins long. 3 comedians and I was laughing soooo hard. They didn't do the typical lets pick on someone in the crowd thing.

Gypsy Bar-had live music and good drinks but closes early and not that lively. B Bar is a 24 hour bar and always had a lot of people but we didn't make it there

Casino-We played the slot machines mostly. There were alot of blackjack tables and they have a separate "Poker Room" which was always packed

Spa-OMG AMAZING!!
I got a hot stone massage. Let me tell you, those stones are HOT but I left feeling like a million bucks, DH got a deep tissue massage and he was in all his glory, he said it was the best part of our trip. They were $150 each and they include a service charge of $30 each. The masseuses were very very friendly, nice and made you feel comfortable. You are able to use the spa the whole day when you book a massage. They have a waiting room filled with bottled water, chips, fresh fruit and juice. There is a separate room with a 2 whirlpools and a mini pool. They leave out cold towels and sliced cucumbers and lounge chairs. There one on the mens side too. In this room there is a steam room and sauna. The locker room is stocked with everything you need. Showers have large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturizers. Theres an area where you can apply makeup, its stocked with deodorant, combs, cotton balls, Q-tips, hair moose, hairspray, makeup remover, and hair dryers. Their line of products are amazing and smells sooo good.

We took a jitney to the boardwalk, its $2.25pp. It picks you up right outside the hotel. We never had to wait more than 5 mins for one to arrive. Be warned though that some of the drivers drive like lunatics. You can get off at caesars and walk 2 blocks north to get to the outlets.

All in all we had a great times, great service and would definitely stay at the borgata again.

Borgata is one of my favorite hotels. Bobby Flay is amazing, the Old Homestead was good too!
