Recommend Your Diaper Pails or Lack Thereof...
Soon to be new mom here and hoping to run to Babies R Us this weekend and pick up some last minute things for the nursery.
Do you use a diaper pail?
Do we need one?
Is it easier just to chuck them in a shopping bag and throw them out continuously?
Would love opinions. TIA!

i have the diaper dekor and i LOVE it! personally i feel it's much better than the diaper genie

we have a diaper dekor - very easy to use - i like that the dekor has biodegradeable liners- every bit helps

i dont have one. I just find them to be yucky. I did get those scented diaper bags though

we returned the Diaper Genie. We have the scented garbage bags. Poopy diapers go straight to the garage in it's own bag and whatever is in the garbage gets taken out every night

With DD, I had a diaper champ, and I HATED it...we had a 2nd floor 2 bedroom co-op and everytime we emptied it, the whole place stunk for an hour or so...
We finally threw it out, and just started using the regular garbage can (super stinky ones we took right out to the dumpster).
This time around, I wasn't going to get one...However, my cousin got this one and she says it is SO much better...so I might try it...

All diapers go downstairs to the garbage and the poops go RIGHT outside. Trust me, if not, the room and the pail will eventually stink to holy heck!

Diaper Genie HUGE FAN!!!! I can not say enough about it! Buy the refills on amazon mom subscribe and save for a true savings! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I will say that as she got older and is now eating real food all the time, DD is 16months, we put baking soda in the bottom and have some baking soda near the can on the changing table. No odar, no fuss, no muss. LOVE IT!!!!!!! Might I also add she can make a men's college bathroom smell like roses after a good poop

Me too, and I read ALL the reviews of all the pails on AMAZON, and this one seemed to have THE BEST reviews overall!

Had one with my first... then it started to stink. Never had one with my second and I don't miss it. We just bring poopie diapers right outside and we use the little scented disposable bags to cut down on odor.

We are using a tall 30 gal simple human that was like $40 at bed bath and I smell nothing..uses reg. Trash bags and gets emptied every other day or so

We have the diaper champ, i love that i don't have to buy refills, you can use your own bags so i buy scented one and all is good!

we got the diaper genie but returned it for this one
Safety 1st Easy Saver Diaper Pail
we use regular garbage bags-scented . we are in a 1b. now so its in our room and it doesnt get smelly.

I didn't buy one...DD is breastfed and practically poops everytime I feed her (which is every 2-3 hours). That's a lot of diapers every day and I don't want them sitting around in a diaper pail until it's full. They go right in the regular garbage and it gets taken out every day.

i didnt register for one. i figure i am either gonna take the smelly ones right out to the trash outside or buy a small regular pail and get scented bags and leave that in the nursery. does the same job and a lot less money IMO
