if that old wives' tale about heartburn is true....
I am going to have super hairy babies!!! 
I have had terrible terrible heartburn this past week. It keeps me up all night. I am chewing on tums like its my job and I took a Zantac. Nothing helps! I am afraid to even eat anything bc no matter what I eat I still get heartburn.
I am really hoping this doesn't last the rest of my pregnancy!!

i am sorry it is happening so early for you because its horrendous!!
nothing helps for me either and i keep on saying my lil girl better have a full head of hair lol.
yesterday was really bad for me and my heartburn caused me to throw up so much while i was in the hospital

Not sure if it's true. I had hardly any with DS. Thought I'd have a bald kid (I was team green) and when he came out he had tons of hair all sticking up all over the place.
Now I have HB with this one and thinking this one may be bald. LOL

With DD I had it but not THIS bad and she did have a ton of hair!

sorry to hear about that. My cousin told me the only thing that helped her heart burn was to chug a can of seltzer and burp as much as she could  . She said it was a total life saver.

I had it with DD and she had lots of hair, now I have it SOOOO bad with the twins, and I just had my 36 week sono and guess what . . .we saw hair on the sono! HA! I knew it!

Ugh I was up all night last night! It kept waking me up! I freaked out DH this morning b/c I was sitting straight up sleeping! LOL
I told him to forget the fancy newborn photographer...just notify National Geographic for Magilla Gorilla's first pics. Unbelievable!

in the begining i would have heartburn randomly and never that serious, some days its was bad, but tums always helped...
lately i have been getting it a lot (not enough to keep me up at night) but tums havent been working...
i think that too, wow im going to have a hairy baby!
but my best friend had the worst heart burn during her pregnancy and her baby was bald!! so who knows how true that one is!

I had such awful HB with #1 that I took way too many tums and had some constipation/blockage issues!  
He was bald for almost a month.
#2 was still there, not as bad, but he didn't have much hair until 2!
#3 has been the worst! I hope for her sake, it means she'll have something - since my boys were hairless!
btw - saliva is a great remedy. I know it sounds gross, but it so works! Chewing gum produces saliva too, so that's another option.

I had it really bad. Was on prescription meds for it... My son was BALD. At 18 months he barely has any hair still...

Same here ugh. When it wakes me up I think I am havign a heart attack and then when I am up it feels like I am about to puke. I feel your pain...YUCK

Heartburn has kicked in for me during the third trimester.
I found that drinking a swig of Gaviscon almost INSTANTLY eliminates it within seconds! It's a GODSEND!

There actually is some truth to that old wives tale. You have increased levels of estrogen when you have heartburn which in turn can cause increased hair growth.
I had horrible heartburn throughout my pregnancy and my dd was born with a full head of hair!!!!!

I had horrible heartburn when I was pregnant and my DD didnt have a lot of hair at all! The only thing that helped was drinking milk. I went through 2 gallons a week! Feel better!

I have horrible heartburn.. it started around 6 weeks.. and its unrelenting. This has caused me to puke.. not morning sickness, aversion or anything.. plain ol heartburn.

Ugh! Me too!!
With DD it didn't start until like 35 weeks....but even then, I called the doctor after a week of Tums and basically BEGGED for something more...He told me to take Zantac, and it was SUCH a help!
DD had almost NO hair when she was born.
But this one....at 15 weeks, it's already there...I told DH this one better come out with a full head of hair!
