NYC with mom?
My sister and I want to do something with our mom for Mother's Day (not a show) and we thought about taking her out in the city - any advice about what we could do with her? I feel like I should have a clue since I work at a museum in the city, I just thought maybe someone might have an idea of an upcoming event that might be of interest? We need help!

Something like this might be nice . . . I was thinking maybe the central park boat house and doing something up in that area? Natural History Museum? Guggenheim? Cooper Hewitt?

I've been there a few times actually and it's a really cool museum..
I know my mom would get a kick out of it but I understand that others may not lol

the Cherry Blossom Festival is starting this coming Saturday at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden.
there are a ton of restaurants in the area, as well as the Brooklyn Museum and BAM.
you could easily take the LIRR into Atlantic Terminal and either walk it or hop on the two train to Grand Army Plaza and walk the Park from there.
there is also the Prospect Park Zoo and carousel.

BBG would be right up her alley, actually. The Cherry Blossom festival starts and ends this weekend though. Thanks for the idea!
