Birth announcement question- Now with everyone being connected on facebook etc....
We will be doing our birth announcements soon for Jesse and it occured to me that a good portion of the people I will be sending them to I am friends with on Facebook (friends/family) ...Is it dumb for them to get a birth announcement in the mail even though they've seen zillions of pics of him already ?
I havent posted my pro pics yet which is what I'll be using for the announcents...
Also, how old was your DC when the announcements went out ?

aw, yeah, still go ahead and do them. I never sent any announcements out. I just didn't think about it for the same reason you said - everybody I WOULD send them to is on FB and sees the gazillion pictures I post a day. lol. But I still think it's nice to recieve it in the mail. Now I'm wondering if I should send some out too. lol.

Some people keep them for keepsakes and what have you..I would still send them out, especially that the announcement will have different pictures on them.

I would def still send them. And I didn't send mine out until DS was 2 months old so don't worry- you have plenty of time!

I would send them! I didn't post the photos I used on FB because I wanted people to see them on the announcement first. After people received the announcement, I posted the photos. DS1 we sent about 4 weeks, DS 2 was about 3 weeks.
