Re: Deb/Fred, plan to go to Couples Tower Isle

DH and I were just there a couple weeks ago!

We stayed at three Couples resorts in one trip - 3 nights at Swept Away, 4 at San Souci and 1 at Tower Isle. San Souci was overbooked for our last night and asked for volunteers to move to Tower Isle. We figured why not see another resort and we got two free nights back at San Souci for moving. Chat Icon

So, Tower Isle, it was our second favorite of the three. (Swept Away for our fave.) Only ate at the poolside grill and Eight Rivers restaurant.. our dinner at Eight Rivers was probably the best meal we had out of all three resorts. My DH has been to Daniel in NYC several times and he compared it to that. He might be exaggerating a little bit, but it really was superb.

The pool areas were nice, the beach is small, but it didn't seem like it got crowded. Surf was a little rough. Watersports people were very friendly but we didn't get to go on a dive or snorkel with them. We didn't have time and it was a little rough on the water anyway. The water was rough at both Sans Souci and Tower Isle, not sure if it was that side of the island or just the weather, which got a little windy at times. Swept Away had the turquoise water and calmer water, which is why that ranks high with us.

Didn't make it to the island but it looked cool, maybe next time. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Our room was great, we had a fantastic view of the ocean and a little balcony. This resort is styled very modern, which we like. Sans Souci is retiree in Florida decor and Swept Away is rustic Tropical.

Great martinis at the martini/piano bar - can't comment on the nightlife since we had to turn in to get up super early to get to the airport. Oh, they had continental breakfast set up already at 6am so we got to have a quick bite before leaving for the airport.

Let me know if you have any other questions! Our stay was limited at TI but I can answer a lot about SA and SS.
