Washing baby clothes

This is probably the dumbest question ever asked but you should wash brand new baby clothes before wearing them, right?

Re: Washing baby clothes

i def would...i know some people think "oh it'd brand new" but working in retail for 14 years...you see things. especially things manufactured over seas ...bugs find their way into the cases when they are shipped over and die in there with the clothes...and some denim uses a form of formaldehyde in the dye process... so yeah...deff wash it.

I washed everything for DS before he wore it until he was around 18 months.

Re: Washing baby clothes

Yes! I still wash all of my clothes now before wearing them. Retail warehouses are pretty disgusting, and who knows who touched them in the store.

I always did, but as she got older, there were times that I was ripping off a tag and putting an outfit on her.

Re: Washing baby clothes

I have washed everything, including clothing, blankets, crib and bassinet sheets, even my nursing tanks and bras since I figure he'll be up against my body when he nurses. I basically thought that anything that his skin can be in contact with should be washed. Have fun doing 100 loads of laundry! lol
