PSA - stomach flu
Be careful ladies...there is a nasty stomach flu going around out there...
We were at my niece and nephew's birthday party on Saturday- Sunday I didn't feel great, but just kind of chalked it up to being tired. DD woke up Sunday night vomiting and I spent all day yesterday throwing up and diarrhea....
we then found out that at least 8 of the 17 people at the party got this virus....
It's not pretty...in fact, its kind of scary - it was pretty violent....I'm doing better today, but very weak.
So just make sure you're washing your hands and avoiding anyone who "isn't feeling too hot"

Thanks for the heads up. Although, are you sure it wasn't food poisoning of some sort? Since all those people were at the party together?

Re: PSA - stomach flu
I had it last month and ended up in the hospital w/ severe dehydration.
If you do get it, call your OB immediately!

Nah - we all had different food, and it was 36+ hours after the party that we got sick...

Re: PSA - stomach flu
Yup it's EVERYWHERE!!! My brother was hospitalized with what those docs said was the worst they've seen all season. He was there for 4 days and just came home today. He was vomiting so violently that eventually he was throwing up blood AND he couldnt control his body at all that he was cra pping in the bed!! He said he wanted to die, and i dont blame him. we were all so upset for him. He works in a school and they had 6 cases of kids with the stomach virus out last week. So it was his turn apparently! Be careful!

Re: PSA - stomach flu
Def going around. I got it two weeks ago and was hospitalized for three days. It was absolutely awful. Please call your OB if you get it. I was dehydrated in three hours of vomiting and the baby's heartbeat was out of control.
