Did anyone register for the Bugaboo Cameleon? If so how do you like it? Im debating between this & a travel system.

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
we are going with the bugaboo. a lot of ppl we know have it and are all happy with it. both us and the ppl we know who have them live in the city though, so spend a lot of time walking and less time getting it in and out of a car.

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
I wanted a bugaboo but my sister who has one advised me against it.
She loves it and said it was great when she lived in Hoboken but it's a pain in the a$$ now that she lives in the suburbs and has to always fold it and put it in and out of the car.
I might look into other options also. Travel systems are supposed to be quite bulky and most got horrible reviews in baby bargains.
Maybe look into a snap and go for infancy and a better stroller for when their older.

This...we have it and while I loved it for long walks it was a pain for in and out of the car...I would get both the bug and something easier if you can..bc again the ride of the bug for long walks was amazing!!

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
love my bugaboo! while it takes an extra step more to fold it is soo light u wont mind! Once u get the hang of it it takes a total of maybe 45 seconds to put it away.
the one complaint i have about it is the storage - other than that i recommend it over a travel system. my friend got a travel system and said she wished she spent the money getting the bugaboo bc its a pain pushing a heavy stroller.

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
IMO there is absolutely NO comaprison whatsoever between a Bugaboo and a Travel System -
There is a reason that the $1200 strollers cost $1200 and it's NOT the name that you're paying for -
I used my Bug from day one (got the car seat attachment) and used the base as a 'snap and go' - BEST thing EVER.
Great wheels, great suspension COMPLETELY lightweight, not at ALL bulky - pushes SO easily - I am not totally and completely spoiled
We actually have a Peg Perego Vela that we got as an ultra light, ultra easy fold etc etc - I still use the Bug in and out of the car - it's NOT that big of a deal AT ALL once you get used to it. - The Vela (and Peg Perego is NOT a crappy brand) is just NOT the same and even w/ the extra step in folding it down, I prefer the Bug over anything else.
I now need a double ........and I'm peeved that they didn't have the double Bug when I had my 1st b/c I totally would have gotten it, knowing I'd only need ONE strroller - not a chance I'm spending an extra $1500 at this point ..........but I"m so spoiled I don't know what to get -

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
another thought on the bugaboo - if it is the price that is holding you back, they are discontinuing the bugaboo frog which is pretty similar (only a few options are different on the chameleon) and in stores where they still have them, they are significantly discounted to around $550.

JMO on this one - but I think w/ the Frog you're just paying for the Bugaboo name and even $500 is a waste of $$ on that ......... It doesn't have the features of the Camealon - notably the tires and suspension which is what makes it SO worth it IMO - the Frog has just regular plastic wheels.............

The frog has air wheels (like a bicycle) and a suspension. It is the bee that only has plastic wheels.

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
I have a Bugaboo Frog that I got when my son was born. It is, hands down the best stroller on the market. It drives like a dream, it looks amazing, and it can turn on a dime. That being said, taking it in and out of the car is a faff and a half, and some other people might disagree with me, but the seat is very very small, any child over one's head wil poke out over the canopy hood. I have used it with both children, and I have decided to part ways with it. I am going to put it on the market as soon as I can and replace it with what I currently think is the best stroller around, the Micralite Super lite.

Re: Bugaboo VS Travel System
i agree that a bug is very different from a travel system. I wouldn't consider a travel system at all.
I actually thought I really wanted and would end up with the bug, but once in the store i LOVED the uppa baby vista. Maybe check that out as well.
