If you had a quick first labor...
How quick was your first then second labor?
My Ob wants me to seriously think induction but backed off once she found out I live two blocks from the hospital. She thinks because I had a 6 hour labor induction and an easy birth (2 pushes), I'm at risk for a super fast 2nd labor where she wants me to stay close. I almost think she's worried that she won't make it in time!
She was joking but said "you can be one of those women that give birth in a car if you're stuck in traffic!"
Is this a valid concern?

I'm glad you asked this bc we're a good 20 mins from the hospital and my first birth was 4.5 hours including like 4 pushes!!! I need to discuss it with them as I get closer to see what they want to do!!!! I would rather not an induction!

My first was born in 7 hours, 15 minutes of pushing... my second was born in 2 hours 45 minutes with like 2 pushes. She practically fell out. I will be induced This time because I love about 45 minutes from the hospital.

My 2nd labor was 3 hours from first cramp til my DD was in my arms. My 3rd labor ended up being 9 hours.

Yup, valid concern IMO 
My first  I was induced at 41 weeks. I only needed Pitocin, no Cervadil. Start-to-finish was 7 hours (incl. 1.5 hours of pushing).
My second was practically born in the car (or elevator ). Went into labor at home, very minor labor IMO, around 1:30am, and she was born at 5:30am, 20 min after I got to hospital (6 min of pushing).
It was a close call....and a LONG & PAINFUL 20 minute car ride  Thank GOD it was early morning and no traffic!

My first labor was 29 hrs and 3.5 were spent pushing.
Second labor was 4.5 hrs and less than 15 minutes of pushing.

My 1st labor lasted 3 hours.... my second labor a total of 45 minutes!!

omg...really? wow!!! did DH deliver the baby? or did a paramedic or someone get there in time?
