Keeping this secret
Can I just tell you I am about to explode with this secret! It is truly killing me... I am keeping it a secret from everyone! Only DH and I know and we are both itching to tell people! LoL
We decided we will tell our parents after our first doc visit and we will tell the family at Easter.... According to babycenter calculations, I will be 9w6d
I always said I would wait till the end of the 1st tri, but I could hardly keep this information in!

Re: Keeping this secret
I'm dying too, and I'm trying to hold back to badly. I already told about 20 people total....including our parents and siblings in that count, and our CLOSER friends.
I'm itching and so is my dad - he wants to tell my grandmother so he can make fun of her for being a great granny. isn't that nice? lol.

Re: Keeping this secret
That was the hardest thing ever!!!! We found out I was preggo at 5 weeks and didn't tell anyone till 12 weeks because we wanted to wait till Christmas. Hardest secret ever especially when we're really close to our families!!! You can do it!!!

Re: Keeping this secret
It is so so soooooo hard to keep in!!!!! We haven't told anyone either and are waiting until we see a heartbeat (first doc appt. is 4/6 and I'll be about 8 weeks). Then we will tell families and then friends. I definitely feel like I want to explode!!!!! For some reason it feels so much more difficult to hold it in this time than with our first pregnancy!!

Re: Keeping this secret
its difficult because there are a few friends i want to tell (after the 25th i'll tell them)... my friend asked me on tuesday because we were at the ranger game and i wasnt drinking (and the booze was free) so she knew... and funny enough my friend that i grew up with used to be a poster here and she just came back and found me so she knows lol
other than that... ONLY parents and siblings know...
im totally ok with not telling just yet...

Re: Keeping this secret
We wanted to wait for our first appt to tell immediate family but told them earlier so we could surprise them at the holidays. I also told a close friend the minute I POAS. We kept it a secret from the rest of our friends and extended family until 13.5 weeks, which was torture at the end especially the time after our NT scan at 12w1d

Re: Keeping this secret
I also give you a ton of credit. I could wait longer, but this weekend just lined up to be the perfect weekend to tell the families. I'm 7 weeks today.

my friend asked me on tuesday because we were at the ranger game and i wasnt drinking (and the booze was free) so she knew... and funny enough my friend that i grew up with used to be a poster here and she just came back and found me so she knows lol
I had a bunch of instances before we told anyone and we were out with friends/family and everyone was drinking and I wasn't or I pretended to. I was getting good with my excuses and hiding that I wasn't drinking lol...here's a few maybe some of you can use...
"I'm designated driver tonight" "I have a UTI and they put me on antibiotics" "I drank soo much last night I can't even look at alcohol tonight" "I have to be up really early for my students competition practice tomorrow morning" Or if I was at someone's house I'd fill up my drink then just hold it all night
Or if we were going to a bar I'd go to the bartender right when I'd get there and tell him to only give me sprite's no matter what I ordered from him...that was the real kicker that got everyone! Although after I told everyone I had alot of explaining to do because everyone thought I was drinking when I knew I was preggo lol!!!
