Makeup Help!

I'm jealous of all you makeup savvy ladies! I see posts with all these different products and I wish I knew what to do with them. I have no idea how to do my makeup beyond your basic everyday wear that is usually half off midday.

Where did you girls learn?!?

Re: Makeup Help!

Go Sephora/Ulta/Bare Minerals/Mac...Basically any makeup place and they'll help you and tell you what colors look best on you!

Re: Makeup Help!

my suggestion....

walk into mac, sephora etc and be prepared to drop some cash

ask someone to give you a makeover ..pay good attention to what they are doing- ask questions etc...and then buy most of the products they use.

i did this at the lancome counter and spent $120 but you know what- my makeup look has improved dramatically ever since i learned the right way to wear eyeshadow, liner etc.

the lady even gave me one of those papers with the face on it and she shaded in the makeup on the paper - i took that pepr home and was able to recreate the look to a T.

now i am confident enough to play with new colors etc.

goodl uck and have fun...

You can find a ton of info on YouTube. My goal is to become a makeup artist - I am currently taking a 3 part course at Suffolk boces -but as others said going toe the store is a good idea have someone at Mac do it for you.Chat Icon

Re: Makeup Help!

Makeup application is an art! Ive been practicing my cat-eye eyeliner since 10th grade and only recently found the perfect liner pen. I bought THREE of them-- just in case.

I have spent tons of cash on different products and have a giant collection.

I suggest Allure for some great info on products.
