I think I figured it out
I always have racoon eyes at the end of the day and I thought it was my eye liner.
Turns out that it was my mascara. I used a water proof one today and so far no racoon eyes. I'm usually in the bathroom wiping under the corners of my eyes by now.
I had a facial Saturday and she told me it could be my mascara.

If you have oily skin and put mascara on the bottom lashes, that could also make it smudge.

I have dry under my eyes but my lids get a little oily.
I tried using a primer on my lids and that didn't help. I use a MAC primer now all over my face and I was hoping it would help but I think it was mascara. It was always so hard to wipe it away.
Here I was yanking the skin under my eyes.

Hi. I use a mascara by Tarte. It's made from all natural clay and they say it soaks up oil so that you don't get raccoon eyes. I love it. Just thought I'd share that

I had the opposite problem. I thoguhtit was my mascara & started only using waterproof, but still had the racoon eyes.
It's better now that I don't wear pencil eyeliner.

I now wear a waterproof liner and mascara.
Who knew? I only though that was to withstand crying and swimming!
