Pizza Question
Are we allowed to have a slice with fresh mozzerrella (marherita) on it? I think the answer is NO, but wanted to double check.

Re: Pizza Question
A lot of the time fresh mozzerella isn't pasteurized, so people say to stay away from things like mozz & tomato at a restaurant.
I think that if it's on a pizza that has been baked in the oven it would be fine!

There is a place by my job that makes a whole wheat slice with fresh moz.... iit's calling my name!

Just to chime in -- I always ask at restaurants, and they have always told me that their fresh mozz is NOT pastuerized. Total bummer

I typed the wrong wood -- it's made from pasteurized milk.
Therefore it should be safe to eat.
Technically the cheese itself is not "pasteurized" when they make it fresh that day -- but it is fine to eat it since the milk they use is almost always pasteurized.

this could be true, if they import it from another country. But if it's made in the US - it's pasteurized
