When did you need maternity pants?

10w tomorrow and wondering when I should buy some maternity pants. Everything is still buttoning fine but I am nervous I will wake up one day and have NOTHING to wear to work and be sh!t outta luck

i had to wear them early maybe like 7 or 8 weeks

i bought them at 13 weeks and started wearing them then. best things EVER!!

while, I definitely grew out of some of my tighter pants quickly (this is number 3 - so my muscles aren't as tight as others and I showed right away) I am 14 weeks and I haven't transitioned yet. Actually i feel like maternity fall off a bit.

I am 9w2d with twins, and I just ordered some online I think some of it is bloat from the IVF meds im still taking, but there is def a pooch there

Buy a BE or Bella Band! If you are okay in regular pants, before you have to graduate to maternity, I'd get the band first. When the pants start to feel a little tight, you can use the band.

Also, if you graduate to maternity pants...chances are they won't quite stay up as securely just yet before you get a bigger bump. The band can be worn over the maternity pants to keep them up.

I'm heading into my 3rd trimester and I still use the band sometimes because my maternity pants can feel loose or roll down.

I stumbled across a pair of black maternity skinny jeans somewhere around 9w that fit great without a belly and with major bloat (no weird bunching and no belly panel). I basically lived in those ever since and even wore them to work until just under 13w when I had a client event and figured even if I could squeak by, jeans wouldn't be the best idea. I went out that night and bought 2 pairs of maternity dress pants from destination maternity and I've been wearing those to work most days.

I figured I'd need them eventually so might as well buy them now... and my old work pants were all hemmed for heels and I've been in flats now.

It's really just your comfort level but maternity clothes are COMFORTABLE :)

not til around maybe 17 weeks. THey are super comfy

I switched between the bella band and maternity pants starting at 16 weeks or so. I could still wear regular pants then, but I just wasn't comfortable - especially by the end of the day.

I wore my reg pants and kept the button open for about 2+ weeks before I finally bought maternity pants.

I bought mat clothes in Jan... I was about 14- 15 weeks along.
I probably could have been in them about 2 weeks before that but the reg clothes still worked... I literally wore them until I couldn't get away with them anymore.

i was so happy when I finally got some maternity clothes though!!! It felt really good. if it wasn't for my work and schedule at the time, I probably would have gone earlier.

I am 16 weeks and using the bella band with regular pants.... I have heard that "one day you'll wake up and boom - a belly" but that hasn't happened yet....I joke that I just look bump-y!
If your legs and tush still fit in your reg pants, def use the bella band til you can't anymore - I am!

I moved from the bellaband to maternity pants around 16 weeks. Definitly try the bellabands, they are amazing and allow you to wear your own clothes for a while longer.

By 12-14 weeks I was in mostly maternity clothes.

I bought maternity dress pants around 11 weeks because I started a new job, and can't find my regular dress pants anywhere (I packed them up when I lost my job). DH told me it was stupid to buy regular dress pants so I bought a few pairs of maternity. They are a little loose but I love them. They are so comfy at work all day.

I'm 15w and so far my regular clothes are all fitting the same. I'm not sure when it will change but I'm guessing it'll be overnight. I just bought the bella band in case I wake up one morning and my pants won't button.

I bought my first pair last week at 20 weeks, but for 2 weeks before that at 18 weeks I was using a hair tie to wrap around my button for extra room

With my first, I didn't need them until about 20 weeks. I used the belly band thing with my regular pants.

With my second, I was in them by 14 weeks-I figure why bother with the belly band if I have the pants already

I wore a belly band from like 10w-16w and then wore maternity pants exclusively from then on.

I got them around 10 weeks. My pants were just not comfortable and not fitting right. I started getting a belly quick and had also gained some weight right before getting pregnant, which didn't help!

I love my maternity jeans and pants now. Soooo comfortable! Destination Maternity had some good stuff.

I started wearing maternity pants around 18 weeks when the bella band started becoming uncomfy.

Around 14 weeks. I probably could have gone a little longer with the bella band, but I'm so happy I didn't. Maternity clothes are so so comfy. You will love them!

I think I was about 18 weeks pregnant when I bought my first pair. They are so great!!! I have a pair of regular leggings on now because all of my maternity ones are in the laundry and although they fit fine, the maternity ones are so comfortable. You will love them.
