rules for wedding fashion?
i always thought saturday night weddings are the most formal and feel my dress should be floor length....
i'm I out of touch?

I think a regular cocktail dress is fine for a Saturday evening wedding. I had one and that is what most people wore.

I agree with everyone else. I don't think I ever wore a floor length dress to a Sat evening wedding. You can def do a shorter cocktail dress!

if it says black tie either go long, or if you want to wear short, make sure it is dressy and not too short, knee length is best. a mini is not really appropriate.
black satin material is always safe.
