Boy mommies - if you didn't have a theme for first bday
I've decided I won't be doing a theme because DS isn't really into anything. I would much rather stick with colors, and maybe just stick with "1" as the theme.
So, what colors did you use? What did you do for CPs? Anything else creative that you did? Pics would be awesome!

Not sure when his birthday is, but maybe you could tie it into being whatever season he was born in?
I never had a theme birthday party as a child, (from what I can recall, at least) -- and my parents always did a summer theme.

I never had a theme birthday party as a child, (from what I can recall, at least) -- and my parents always did a summer theme.
He was born in the spring, but I'm having his party in the summer so that won't work

I did just a "1" theme and used primary colors. I made "1" chocolate lollipops.

I am just working around colors for DS's 1st birthday...teal, lime & brown.
For CPs I am going to price out balloons with tulle this week otherwise I might just get flowers from costco and put them in a fun container for the center. If I don't have a game table I will have a few games (Connect 4, Memory, Operation) stacked in the center of the table for the kids along with a stack of coloring books and markers/crayons.

i did a sports theme for my DS because he didnt love any shows or anything enought to want to do a whole theme around it. but we had 6 tables all with different colored table cloths -- 1 red, 1 blue, 1 white, 1 yellow, 1 green, 1 orange. it was adorable and did balloon and candy centerpieces. you could do that and just get "1" themed tablecovers for the food tables. and we also had a yanks jersey made for him with a 1 on the back and our last name.
