If you have funky/eclectic decor
What are some things you have in your house that others may find strange?
Or, what have you hung up/done that is kinda funky?
Where do you get your inspiration from? And where do you shop?

Re: If you have funky/eclectic decor
I dont, but do have one piece that seems to bother many. We honeymooned in Jamaica, i found this carved wood piece on the beach some guy was selling. Its stained black.its a man and woman both sitting on their knees, with the man behind the woman. She is leaning her head back into his chest and she is kissing just above her boobs. Now, i asked my bros friend what he thought it was, he said a wave?? his wife saw it immediatley and loved it, my aunts saw it and think its perverse. My grandmother blushed I love it, so i dont really care who doesnt. Other than that, im pretty normal style wise

Re: If you have funky/eclectic decor
I've been told I have all kinds of "weird" stuff in our house, lol.
We have a long, tall wall in our dining room (we have valuted ceilings) that I set up like a family history. I trolled ebay for months and found an old timey postcard or photo or police or fire patch from everywhere either DH or I have lived in our lives and have them all framed in different frames. In the middle is an antique map of the town we got married in and one of these personalized maps where we put pins in places we've visited. Then we have the family name plaque over all that stuff. I know it's not for everyone, but I really love it.
In our half bath I did a LI theme, we have a few old time Jones Beach postcards that are framed, an old LIRR map, a photo of Montauk Lighthouse, I blew up a photo I took of my kids on the Jones Beach boardwalk, and a driftwood sign that says "No Place Like Home" with Long Island ghosted in the background.
In our den we have 3 cut outs in the wall, 1 has a selection of about 10 of DH's baseball card collection (he changes them out as he likes), 1 has a bunch of my fave books in hardcover, and 1 has a bunch of these board games
In our kitchen I have framed orange crate labels from groves in the town I used to live in when I was in SoCal, and a big round drum label from an old oyster farm out east
I also have my grandmother's Bossons heads in the kitchen and a few Gone With the Wind plates she collected for me.
I have a few brass rubbings my mother made while we lived in England in a few places in the house.
