England, Ireland or Scotland?
I've been to London before, DH hasn't. Looking for somewhere to go second tri as a babymoon where I won't feel like I'm missing out too much by not being able to drink or eat certain foods. We like castles, good food, and being somewhere totally different than what we are used to (we live in NYC).
This will probably be our last big trip out of the country for a few years (although if we don't do London on this trip, we might do it as a 5-day-weekend in a year or two).
We are looking to go in the next 3 months so we don't have much time to plan. All recommendations welcome and appreciated!

I have been to Ireland and England and of those I would choose Ireland. I bet Scotland is charming as well.

Ireland is not a huge country (it's only about the size of Florida and it's total population is only 4.5 million people) so the cities are not huge like they are here. the major city is Dublin, obviously. Other cities worth seeing are Galway (west coast)
Killarney and Cork (in the south). There are others, but these would be amongst the most well known.
If you go into Northern Ireland - Belfast.

Scotland is awesome, Glasgow & Edinburgh are only about 45 minutes away from each other, and you can spend two or three days in Edinburgh and a nice long day in Glasgow. If you want to get out to the countryside, you could rent a car, or do a tour of some sort. Glasgow has a really rich history what with the Charles Rennie Macintosh influence, and the amazing art school. I really love Scotland! The kindest people in the world are the Scots!

Completely agree! I lived in Scotland for 6 months as part of my junior year abroad and you will not meet friendlier people!
Edinburgh is probably one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to. If you have the time, try to get to see some of the islands, like Iona and Skye. Gorgeous.
