nursing bras?
Where can I find good but not crazy expensive nursing bras? And what size do you get them in? The size that you are now?
I'm so confused.

Re: nursing bras?
Destination Maternity was having a sale buy 3 get one free and they were relatively inexpensive. I needed new bras anyway so I figured that I would get nursing ones and hopefully they would fit me after. I'm not sure though about the size, maybe you can ask the salesperson when they measures you. I must say the bras are super comfy!

Re: nursing bras?
I just went on Walmart and got a cheap one - I have read that you might not know your size till after the baby comes so I figured that I will just get 1 or 2 cheap ones of the size I am now and when I know my size I will order more

Re: nursing bras?
I got sports bras from motherhood maternity. I tried on regular nursing bras there too but they didn't feel supportive. Eventually I'll go to a specialty bra store and get fitted for a supportive bra when it gets closer to the end od my maternity leave. I really like the sports bras.

Re: nursing bras?
I bought one that wasn't really expensive from Motherhood Maternity. I heard that you should go up a size from where you are now, so I did, but it actually fits me now. I don't know if I will lhave to go up two sizes. It was pretty comfortable too.

Re: nursing bras?
A lot of ladies here actually swear by Target's nursing bras. I only purchased two cheaper bras from Motherhood Maternity--one sleeper bra (it's kind of reminiscent of a sports bra) and one nursing bra that kind of looks like a regular bra. The sleeper bra I purchased fits me pretty well, but still has a little room, and the other one is a little big. I didn't want to invest in more than that since I will have no clue with a) how breastfeeding will turn out (every woman is different!), and b) what size I will wind up being. If everything goes well with breastfeeding, I plan on getting fitted for a couple of nicer nursing bras.

Re: nursing bras?
Ttc Crasher here but I just wanted to say I wouldn't spend money on that yet bc you dont know what size you will be and you don't even know if you produce any milk. I waited until I really was in full swing of ebf before I bought anything like that. I did find the nursing camis worked best especially at night. HTH I don't mean to offend anyone by this post. My SIL bought everything for bf from pump to bras and it turned out the baby didn't latch and didn't produce enough milk she had to sell everything pn ebay

Re: nursing bras?
def don't buy them yet! I just bought mine at Destination Maternity and the saleswoman helped me out so much. . I NEVER would have known what size to buy and am glad I didn't buy them online but she did say you really should be as close to your EDD as possible, if not after. .

Re: nursing bras?
I bought a couple to sleep in, because sleeping has become uncomfortable. I got 2 from Target that fit me now. I'm sure they won't fit when I'm actually ready to nurse (I think you go up 1-2 cup sizes and down one band size soon after delivering) but I figured $40 for two bras that I'll use every night for 6 months was a good investment. They're really comfy.

Re: nursing bras?
I got a good cheap one from Kohls online. I got it one size bigger then normal and it fits great. Your boobs will get much bigger once milk comes in!

Most of the posters, including me, love the Target nursing tank tops. IMO the Target bras are just okay. I've heard great things about Bravado nursing bras, but I'd wait until you know what size you are before spending a lot.
It's best to get fitted when you're full term. Then, go up a cup size from what you're measuring at that point. Depending on your size and need for support, you could probably get away with Target nursing tank tops for a while.
