Preeclampsia
I am 26 1/2 wks and besides my shortening cervix I am now being tested for preeclampsia. I wound up in the hospital yesterday I was just wondering if any of you ladies have dealt with this and what happened. I am due in May but with all my complications my Ob is saying 36wks the latest probably closer to 34wks. So now I am dealing with Dr Kofinas deciding if hes gonna do a cerclage AND possible preeclampsia. ADVICE needed!!!

Re: Preeclampsia
I never developed preeclampsia with DS but was borderline from 33 weeks until I delivered at 38w6d.
It all started with swelling in my feet/ankles. Then I had high blood pressure.
I wound up with 2 hospitalizations (1 at 34 weeks for 4 days and 1 at 36 weeks for 4 days) for observation.
They kept making me do 24 hour urine collections to test and see if protein was in my urine. I think that is the true sign of pre-eclampsia.
At 33 weeks I was put on strict bedrest.
Even though my blood pressure was high I was relatively stable so they didn't decide to schedule an induction until I hit 38 weeks. I went into labor on my own 2 days before my induction.
DS was born perfect, 9lbs 3oz.
