Has anyone seen Catfish? Possible spoilers
DH and I rented it over the weekend.
Can you believe that? Just goes to show you how scary the internet can be!
I felt really bad for Nev, he did absolutely nothing to provoke it either. She contacted him first by doing the first painting of his photo that was published.
Weird.

I haven't seen it, but the articles I have read all seem to point to the fact its a fake story, just brilliantly done.
I'll make up my mind when I see it, but the odds of this happening to someone who happens to be filming it all seems super slim...the whole story is just fishy.

I saw him on Ellen. He said that his friends do a lot of filming, so it's not unusual for the them to be randomly filming something. Once something started up with all of this, they decided to keep filming and make the documentary.
Of course, that may not be true, but that's what he told Ellen. 
The story is not all that far off, where it's impossible to be true.

it was so creepy.
when it was over, dh says just goes to show, you have no idea who you are talking to on facebook.
then he says things could have been a lot worse for nev, he got lucky when meeting her that she wasn't too nutty.
then i said or like me...
i packed up the kids and knocked on crankypants door never have met her before.

I loved it.
Although it certainly didn't speak highly for my home state's residents 
They stand by it being real. I'll believe it til I'm shown otherwise.

Not only did she sign the releases, she was interviewed on TV and in Newspapers here...if it was real, why would she want her name and face out there and why would she talk about it.
I don't know...
