do you all actually do
the fetal kick count thing?
My doctor told me I really needed to start doing it 3x a day but I just can't seem to get in the habit. . I mean LO moves around a lot so I feel like I would just know if he stopped but now I feel more paranoid bc I'm not doing the count thing!!!

No, but was thinking about this recently. I think it's more forgetfulness.
If your LO moves around a lot, I don't think there's any reason to.

ITA. I have a kick count sheet though just incase I feel like starting it. My doctor never stressed it though.

Re: do you all actually do
I asked my Dr last night about movement and she didn't say anything about counting - she said the baby is getting bigger and bigger and movement will be less As long as I feel the baby everyday to not worry

Re: do you all actually do
No. My dr with DS never even mentioned that., And honestly I couldnt do it because DS was such a laid back kid. He would kick for like an hour straight in the AM and then I wouldnt feel him for HOURS. HE never kicked at night.
And thats just how he was after he was born.

Never did it when I was pregnant with DS.
And I can't imagine doing it this time.....with twins I don't know how I would figure out who is who.

Re: do you all actually do
I think I've done it maybe once or twice in my whole pregnancy. I am 39w and I freak out when I go long periods of time without feeling LO. Sometimes I will poke him/her, drink oj, or cold water, just to feel movement. And once I do, I start the kick count. But I only do it when I freak out.
If LO is moving a lot, I won't do it.

Nope never not with DS and not with this one either. I feel like you get to know the babies movement and know when it isn't consistant.

Re: do you all actually do
no, I don't see the purpose. I could just see it causing me unnecessary stress. I just make sure that I'm feeling movement throughout the day and if I feel like I haven't in the past couple of hours then I lay down and start watching. My dr never stressed the kick count to me though anyway.

Mine said as long as I feel him not to worry.... She also said to drink oj if I don't then count. If he moves them she said not to worry.

Re: do you all actually do
No, my OB just asks me each visit if I can feel him...and then usually hears or feels him when they do the doppler anyway

Re: do you all actually do
No, I don't have the time for that. I feel her moving and thats good enough for me. If I think I haven't felt her much one day, I stop for a few minutes and relax, and feel movement.
