tmi question
Ok so how much discharge is too much?? I know this is gross but I just had a LOT come out, more than ever. It went through my underwear and my pants. I would assume water breaking would be even more but I have to say I am pretty nervous about it. What would you do? Do you think it is just normal to be more now since I'm getting closer to the end?

Re: tmi question
Are we talking moisture or mucus?
If its mucus it might be your mucus plug.

Re: tmi question
Was it liquid like pee or thick and goopy?
Liquid like pee I'd probably call the OB. Thick and goopy could be mucous plug and I wouldn't necessarily be too concerned.

Re: tmi question
Its def more watery then mucousy but its not just liquid.. Its like really watery discharge. I don't want to seem like a pain in the butt to call them if its nothing especially because they are closed now and probably just send me to the hospital right?

Re: tmi question
Ive only had that happen once and early on in my pregnancy. Probably at 20 weeks. it went through my panties and tights to the point where it felt like not soaking wet but i could feel the moisture and it wasnt gooey. i went in to the doctor and he checked my cervix and the babies (i was carrying twins at the time) and everything was ok. Unexplainable.
But i understand you...i always get worried with discharge. im so paranoid. put a panty liner on and see if its constant or just a one time thing. sometimes ur bladder is under pressure and without realizing some urine comes out.
good luck and always remember...its better safe than sorry. you might want to call the doctor if you are really worried.

Re: tmi question
I've always had more discharge then the average woman due to my tilted cervix, however in the past few weeks I've definitely noticed a change in the amount of discharge I have (I'm almost 29 weeks). I had the same thing happen to me this morning where my underwear was a little wet and there was discharge. I asked my dr and he wasn't concerned....so neither am I. If you're still concerned ask your OB at your next appointment.
