Watching 20/20 right now, and it puts a LOT in perspective..
Its about homeless children.
One boy was put on a bus, told he was going to live with relatives in california...not given a reason why he was sent away. Turns out there were no relatives there. The mother (actually his aunt that raised him) gave him the address of a mcdonalds there...and $50 to live on.
Not sure how old he was at the time, definitely under 17.
I just sit here thinking what kind of person could do that to a child. Just get rid of them like garbage.
I don't know. I just think that these stories put much into perspective. We are all working or SAHM moms who love their kids and give them the best we can..we would never think about doing this, yet it happens every day. They said there are 2 million homeless children in america...
I always hug my kids a bit tighter when i hear stories like this. I hope these kids get shown love and know that they have worth..

just teared up at the thought of what
the boy was thinking sitting on the bus
to nowhere.. scared..hungry..nervous..
and no one at the end ... sad. Sick
ppl out there. Im so thankful I was
raised w/love and am a good mom. I
pray these children get a normal life
with love and appreciation.

I actually had to shut it off. When they talked about the kid who was strapping himself to the tree branches, I couldnt handle it anymore

It's just weird. I mean we (meaning a collective "we") get so caught up in stuff. "I am a bored SAHM" "I wish i didn't have to work" "When will he sleep through the night??" etc..
Yet...there are kids in this world who do not know the love of a parent who would do anything for them.
I just cannot ever in a million years imagine sending my son who has done nothing wrong in his life on a bus to nowhere and go about my life like nothing has changed. Like he isn't out there, wondering WHY he was abandoned.
God i must be pms'ing. I am seriously so sad right now.
