Refiinishing/Staining tables

I have wood tables in my living room. They were DH's when we got married. They are from This end up line of furniture. Does anyone know what I'd have to do to refinish or stain the tables? Currently, they are light wood with some imperfections. They seem to have some kind of clear coat on them that has started fading away.

Any ideas?

you have to sand it down and then prime and paint them or just re-stain them in the color you want and then seal them.
