Is something supposed to "snap" or does it just fit on top of the frame ?

On my snap n' go nothing snaps, the seat just sits in the frame. There is a strap, but we hardly ever use it.

At first I was nervous, but then I thought to myself, it's not like I am going to be climbing mountains with this thing, what can happen - LOL

Thanks !

My BFF gave it to me (used) and I
don't have the manual so I wasnt quite sure what is was supoosed to do Chat Icon

The little label on it specifically says to only use with a Graco infant seat but I know from the boards that others are compatible - It says you know its installed correctly when you pull up on it and it doesn't move ...When I pull up, it comes out so I wasn't sure if I was not doing something right Chat Icon

My understanding is that with the Graco frame, it is only safe with a Graco seat. If it doesn't "click" , the seat can fall off.

ETA: no, you aren't climbing mountains, but the stroller can tip! You can hit a pebble, going up a curb, etc., I wouldn't risk my baby's safety...

Ok, so maybe there is some type of "click" thats supposed to happen ?

From the looks of the snap-n-go she gave me, there is no bar or anything on the front (the part facing me while pushing) and also no strap as PP mentioned...I wonder if something is missing Chat Icon

I agree. I really wanted the Jeep Snap and Go but it wasn't compatible with Graco car seats so the seat wouldn't snap. It just wasn't secure enough for me so I didn't get it. You never know what can happen. I have flashes of cars driving up onto a sidewalk and hitting us and my carseat goes flying because it wasn't snapped in right lol - you just never know!

What carseat do you have? Ours had the hooks on the sides while most carseats had the hooks in the back that would click into the snap n go. I got the baby trend snap n go that came with straps if your seat did not click in. If your Graco one does not have straps, I do believe BRU sells a set of straps with a buckle (in the stroller section by all of the stroller/carseat inserts, covers and do dads). Check out the baby trend snap n go and see where/how the straps work.

I too would do the straps for safety. As PP mentioned, you're not off roading but things could happen with curbs, gravel, getting hooked on a store rack, you sometimes may do a few steps. You just never know.

Thank you!

A fellow LIF'er graciously gave me an Eddie Bauer infant seat ...

I am definately going to check out the straps you mention.....Even thinking of someone bumping into the stroller gets me worriedChat Icon

The snap-n-go is one of the only baby paraphenalia items that I never owned with my other two DC's so I am a novice !Chat Icon

I have the Jeep snap and go and the Graco seat and it doesn't snap. But they have red straps on the sides to secure it
