Stanley Steemer
I got my rugs cleaned by Stanley Steemer this weekend and had them deodorize....to me, the rooms smell like baby powder deoderant and i hate that smell! it makes me SO queasy!  i'm assuming the smell is from the deodorizer and not from the cleaning...
Has anyone else used SS? How long is this smell going to last? I aired my house out for almost 2 days and I still smell it and I'm having guests this week!

Vacuuming with baking soda eliminates odors. Why not try that?

I might do that...
I actually thought that was what their deodorizer would be - something with baking soda in it that was odorless...
The worst part is my carpets did not smell in the first place but I just figued what the heck, I'll have them deodorize them b/c it can't hurt (since we do have a dog who lays on the carpet - no accidents though but I just figured her body oils are in the carpet)
Now my carpets that did not smell, are smelly  I HATE this baby powder smell!
