what should I do????....
I am at a total loss with our living room- we got a new couch but it still feels so empty....
here are three pictures all from different angles..
I am thinking of putting the bookcase sideways behind the long side of the couch with some frames on top and ot hide the storage underneath and then getting a nice brown leather chair wiht a little table to put to the left of the couch where the bookcase is....
any advice anyone can offer would be great!

Re: what should I do????....
I think adding some window treatments and hanging some artwork or pictures on the wall will make a huge difference.
I would also add some nice colorful pillows to the couch.

we are going to be adding the window treatmets and pictures, etc to the walls once we have the room setup theway we like.
Any ideas on what to put in the corner where the bookcase is now? the space is pretty large (although it doesnt look that way in the picture)....

Would you consider moving the TV on that wall? And pick up another bookcase and frame out the TV stand with them, by adding 1 to each side.
That's if the woods are the same for the TV stand and the bookcase.

you could put an occasion table or hallway table (those tables that are taller than a coffee table, sometimes with drawers or shelves) in that spot by the window, and then you could put a nice vase or picture frames or something on them. def find a nice big piece or a few smaller pieces to put on the walls- framed art work, wall clock, pictures of your family, etc.
