Someone tell my hormones to calm down!!

I know I am being totally irrational, but I just want to rage at DH!! As he was getting ready to leave for work today, he was like "can you straighten up in here a little today?" He cleaned off the stove top this morning (which I asked him to do a week ago), and did the dishes which meant hand washing the 4 pots and pans (which are anti-stick and the EASIEST things to wash, no matter what was cooked in them and how long ago) and load everything else into the dishwasher (which I already had put half a load into the other day).

He asked me to straighten up the living room and dining room, which isn't bad at all, will probably only take 45 minutes or less AND something I planned to do today anyway, but it was the way he said it. Made it seem like he did a ton of stuff (he did maybe half an hour of work) and that I do nothing. I'm growing a child here, and it isn't like I was big on doing housework before, so why are you acting like I suddenly do nothing? I've been trying to make sure that I pick up after myself and do the '4 seconds of work now that will save me 4 hours later'. I know that things are going to get harder for me to do over the next 10 weeks, so I'm trying to change me now, so it is easier for him going forward. He even admitted yesterday that he sees and appreciates the changes.

To keep it in perspective, he's working extra days, again (don't even get me started on that ), so I know he is just frustrated that he had to leave, but don't accidentally take your frustrations out on the pregnant lady

OK, stupid, irrational, totally out of my mind vent over. If you made it this far I appreciate it. Thanks for letting me vent!!

I totally understand the pregnancy hormones.! I screamed at DH last night for not bringing home regular potato chips for our Jets game party! Took me a couple minutes to figure out how ridiculous I was being and I had to laugh at myself.

Thanks!! This is the one thing that sets me off EVERY SINGLE TIME. I just feel like both of us are so bad at keeping the place clean, that who is he to ask me to keep the place clean...especially when it is on his way out the door (smart man ).

OK, getting up off my lazy butt now and cleaning so that I'll be done by like 12:30 and feel better

Aww, I remember your recent vent about similar issues. It sounds like he was being a bit thoughtless in the way he was asking you to clean up ... I would have been upset too.

Awww...I can totally relate and I have been pregnant for only a minute now (6 weeks tomorrow). DH said something to me yesterday (kidding) and I couldn't stop crying for 10 minutes. Since we were in the car, I told him I would take the bus home, in the snow!!!!! How irrational of me? We rarely argue. We have been together for 7 years and if we have had a huge argument 4 times is a lot. Now, I get bothered so easily by him....I feel so bad!!
