Ladies who have eye shadow palettes

Silly ques but....what do you about eye shadow brushes?

Do you have a separate one for each color? How do you separate / identify them? Do you use disposable shadow pads on a daily basis???

I have two brushes. One for light and one for darker colors. I flick the old shadow off them with a tissue before using. I also clean them in alcohol every month or so.

I actually don't use brushes that much, I like to apply more precisely with my fingers, but when I do I just wash my brushes in between uses.

I use one brush and clean it with a tissue when I'm done with one color.

I usually do a smokey look, whether it be golds, grays, purples, whatever.

I use disposable applicators for the whole lid (I have diff ones for diff colors) & keep them for a little while...and then I use a crease brush from Sephora for the outer lids and creases. I just rub them on some tissue to remove old shadow.

I have several of the same brushes and I have painted on the sticks with different nail polish colors to differentiate them. I get them mixed up anyway but I remember the basic thing, which is that a lighter shade of nail polish on the brush means that I want to use that brush with lighter shadow colors. Then I have 2 shadow brushes that are different from the rest and I only use each of those on the same color every time. Wow, that is a lot of work considering I do not wear shadow every day. I use a brush cleaner but not nearly every time.

I have like 4 or 5 different brushes for different techniques. You should be cleaning them weekly with a brush cleaner. I sometime take a shortcut and wipe them with a makeup remover pad...

I never thought about using my finger. I will definitely have to try it. I have 2 brushes that I wipe off prior to using.

i buy the disposable eye shadow applicators. i use one side for one color, the other side for the 2nd color. they're cheap enough to buy every few weeks.

I use one brush with all the colors. I usually apply lightest to darkest.

I have so many brushes that are supposed to do specific things, but I have to get ready so early in the morning, I just grab any old one.

Sometimes if I used a shimmer shadow or did a smokey eye previously, it transfers to my new makeup job.

I should probably wash my brushes.

i use 3 brushes - i large one for the whole lid (always a light color), a medium one for the highlight/2nd color, and a smaller one for the crease.
