Re: Do you hold grudges? If so, why or why not?
The older I get, the less I hold.
But it could be that I'm wiser about the people I associate with?

I do hold grudges - I think it has alot to do with misplaced anger about my childhood/issues I haven't worked through. It's very hard for me to let things go when someone does something to hurt me. I am trying to work on this - it's not a fun way to be

Re: Do you hold grudges? If so, why or why not?
I am holding one grudge right now. Someone I used to date wished death by AIDS on me because I broke up with him (how's that for stable). Later that year when he asked for forgiveness so he could be inscribed in the book of life at Yom Kippur, I told him "Tough sh*t!" I can forgive lots of things, but a death wish? HELL NO!

Yes. I don't have a temper, so instead I let things stew and tend to hold temporary grudges for things that REALLY bother me...

Depends really... I used to hold grudges much more than I do now- but it really depends on the situation.
However.. even if I manage to forgive, I never forget!

For the most part, no I don't hold grudges. I can move past stuff pretty easily.

Re: Do you hold grudges? If so, why or why not?
This same question was asked on another board so I just copied and pasted the same answer I gave below.
I don't hold grudges. The way I see it, I'm investing my energy in it and obviously the person in question is not worth it for me doing so if they haven't had any consideration towards me or my feelings. I don't try to get even with the person that has done me wrong or get some type of revenge either. I believe in Karma and know that people will get what they give out. Depending on the person and the relationship I have with them, I'd limit seeing this person. After all, I know they don't have my best interest at heart. If I see the person, I'd say hi in a cordial way because of manners and nothing more. And I've learned that I can live with that because I know that I've done nothing wrong to the person. As long as God knows my true intentions, it's all that counts. People are going to think whatever they want regardless. If the person wants to clarify and apologizes, I'd accept it and forgive but I don't forget. I see it as a learning experience. A few years back I read this quote and I find it to be very true in most cases. "When someone shows you who they are.....believe them the first time." by Maya Angelou
