Re-thinking baby's coming home attire w/pic and question
It's been sooo darn cold this month that I'm thinking of putting in something a little cozier--and comfy.
I'm in love with these Cable Knit onsies from BBB. But the size runs newborn to 6 months. That's such a big gap, do they'll think they'll be huge on a newborn?

Probably - but I also think most things will be big on a newborn. DS was 8lbs 10oz, I had him in a newborn outfit and it was still swimming on him I also had a cableknit one piece from Macy*s that was 0-3 months and it swam on him even when he was a month old ...I'll see if I can find a pic for you.
I think it is a really cute outfit, I wouldn't let the size stop you
This is DS at 1 month in a 0-3 cableknit onepiece
You really never know, there doesn't seem to be any consistency with baby sizing

ITA. The outfit I have to bring DD home in is sized 3 months. Im sure its going to be big but I figure between the undershirt and the diaper, it should be OK. Its a cable knit sweater, pants and hat.

Thanks! I mean seriously, we'll be traveling less than 5 minutes, but the outfit I planned to bring suddenly seems very spring like—even though it's basically a sweat suit. I think the cable knit is so perfect for this time of year.

Chances are the outfit is going to be big no matter what. This was DD on the day we brought her home. The one piece underneath was newborn size and swimming on her. Then the winter suit I put on top was newborn size also and her arms and legs barely reached the holes lol
plus it's not usually on for long lengths of time Image Attachment(s):

Also keep in mind that it might fit in arm and leg lenth - but since the baby will still be all scrunched up it will seem too big on them It takes a few days for their arms and legs to straighten out. IMO, one piece footie outfits are the best because they are a little more fitted, then you can cover the baby with a couple of blankets to keep them warm to and from the car.

I think they're perfect. We put Lila in something like that, but fleece. She was warm and cozy. Definitely make sure that you pick up a matching hat!
