***VIRUS WARNING*** - Fake DHL delivery error emails
I received an odd email from DHL yesterday. The message was very vague about not being able to deliver a package to me and there was an attachment which I was asked to open. Except I was not waiting for anything I ordered so I was suspicious.
The message itself looked so odd that I did not open the attachment and emailed DHL directly about this package and what information was needed.
DHL contacted me this morning and informed NOT to open this attachment. It's a fake email with a virus.
I am sure as the Holidays approach that people are going to open this email too and attachment as they wait for ordered merchandise.

I received that too! Was tempted to open but knew it had to be a scam... I even think the email attach said "no viruses found"

I got that too but DHL rarely delivers here so i knew it was scam, glad i didn't open that!

yup I got & OPENED it!!!! Now all my e-mail contacts are getting viagra e-mails from me.
Any idea how to fix it????

ETA: DHL only does international shipments now so that should raise a red flag if you get anything from them...

there is also info about it on the dhl web page. That is a good place to start.
Never ever ever open an attachment if you don;t 100 know or trust who sent it! That is how these tings gt spread.

I got someone from their marketing contacting me today and thanking me for telling them about it. They took it seriously since it is fraud to pose as them.
