RE SUGGESTIONS

Can anyone suggest a RE to me that they are very happy with? I am at that stage and I want to make an appointment this year. If you can provide their name and where they practice I would appreciate it.

Thank you :)

Re: RE SUGGESTIONS

Dr. Michael Lydic in Stony Brook. He's been treating me for PCOS for a very long time and I love him.

Re: RE SUGGESTIONS

I highly recommend Dr.Braverman. His office is located in Woodbury and he gets TONS of raves on the Infertility board. FM if you want his info! Chat Icon

Re: RE SUGGESTIONS

Hi would suggest Dr. Braverman too. I just switched to him myself, I was going to another RE for almost the past two years. Anyway he is very compassionate and thinks outside the box. You always see him which is nice. FM me and I will give you more info too. Good luck to you!

Re: RE SUGGESTIONS

I am going to give Dr.B's office a call tomorrow and schedule. I guess because its my official due date this week, I am freaking out that I am not pregnant again. I always thought I would be pregnant by now. Does anyone know how long I will have to wait before getting an appointment? Also, I need a yearly checkup with my OB. Will Dr.B do a full exam too or do I keep my OBGYN appointment? My DH already had his sperm analysis done so I guess I would bring those results? Thanks for all of the help! I think I am going crazy Chat Icon

Re: RE SUGGESTIONS

Hi..

You shouldn't have to wait too long. Maybe 2 weeks the longest? As far as the regular exam I don't know? Ask the receptionist she will tell you. I totally understand how you feel as far as it being a year and you not being pregnant again.

I had the same thing happen to me. In fact my sister in law and I were both pregnant at the same time, I misscarried. Then fast forward 1 1/2 years and we were BOTH pregnant again and once again I misscarried. She is due in February, I am truly very happy for her but I just want to be pregnant with a healthy baby as well.

Dr. B will help you. Yes bring any medical records you have as well as your DH SA info. I am new to this site, how do you contact someone privately without it being posted on the boards, do you know? Thanks and good luck!

Re: RE SUGGESTIONS

I have 2.

the first is Dr Kofinas.... he is an RE and Perinatologist... so you would be able to stay with him longer than if you were just seeing an RE.

At first I tried to get an appt with him, but he didn't take my insurance, GHI.

so I moved on to Dr Braverman... who I HIGHLY recommend!! I have VERY high doctor standards.... and I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. Of all the doctor's I've EVER been to in my life, and I'm a dr hopper because I find something wrong with all of them, I would recommend ONLY him and my dermatologist from first hand experience.

I used to see Dr Lydic in Stony Brook but had a horrible experience, unlike the person above. I moved on to Dr Braverman and it was night and day difference!
