What would you do?

So i dont like the look of this br although i love the tiles...any ideas for how to change the sink area and make it look more modern to match the tiles??

Just the vanity and medicine cabinet are outdated. Do you have enough storage in the bathroom that you can do a pedestal sink? I'd change the medicine cabinet to a solid mirror or do both pieces in a dark wood. I think it would make it look much more updated and modern.

ETS: Change the light fixture too.

i know i wish i could just do a pedestal sink but that doesnt leave us any storage space in there. Do you think it would look bad if we painted the wood a dark brown and then replaced the mirror and light fixture?

just trying to get some thoughts on this...

i agree-a dark wood would def make it look more modern. i would get rid of the mirrored vanity cabinet and replace it with just a nice wall mirror and then try to get a dark wood cabinet that you could hang above the toilet to compensate for storage. if you cant do the pedestal sink for storage reasons, then i would do like you suggested and paint/stain it darker. also replace the lighting above the mirror and i think it will make a big difference.

- white pedestral sink (if you don't need the storage)

Dark wook mirror to match vanity or more updated mirror if you have a pedestral sink.

OR a cheaper version would be to paint your existing vanity in white or dark brown or black. Match the mirror to the color vanity

ETA: You need to remove those lights too. Those bulbs type lighting are outdated. Go to HD or Lowe's and go see their ligthting section

Go check my bathrooms in my album. I have similar color tile/scheme.
