Random Birthday and FB question

Since I am lame one of the things I most like about FB is the many bday wishes you can garner Chat Icon

I am seeing more and more friends either posting a thank you on each friend's wall or responding to each wish individually.

Last year I made my status "thank you for the wonderful bday wishes" etc

What's the ettiquette here....a blanket thank you or thank everyone individually?

I know there's no right or wrong, just curious what everyone thinks Chat Icon

Re: Random Birthday and FB question

I've seen both, and IMO, neither one is "more right" than the other. I sent out a blanket thank you myself.

Re: Random Birthday and FB question

I usually see the blanket thank you. I don't care either way...or if there is no thank you at all.

Blanket thank you, I actually think it's kind of sad when someone takes the time to respond to 200 b-day posts in one day, Chat Icon

Re: Random Birthday and FB question

I did the blanket thank you but also I went to those that are family and really close friends and replied individually so they don't get annoyed at me (which they would).

Re: Random Birthday and FB question

A blanket e mail is all I can do!! I cant imagine responding invidually, unless it's a non-generic Happy Bday wish!

Re: Random Birthday and FB question

I went to each person's wall & thanked them & wrote a little message. It took a few days to get to everyone. But some I hardly ever have contact with & I just thought it would be nice to say something personal.

Re: Random Birthday and FB question

Yesterday was my birthday Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon so this morning I made my status a blanket thank you for all the birthday wishes. Since some people wrote more than the generic Happy Birthday, I'm going to comment on their individual posts today Chat Icon

A general Thank you is sufficient. Sometimes I send personal messages to close family and friends.
