Would You Say This is JUST Coincidence?
This morning I went down into the laundry room to throw some wash into the dryer. My laundry room is LOADED with clothes. I tend not to throw things out. And I have giant tupperware storage tubs FILLED with clothes that I always mean to sort, wash, give away.. whatever. I never seem to get around to it.
This morning one of those tubs had the top askew and a sweater sleeve hanging over the edge. I grabbed it and realized it was thick and soft - so I tugged to see what forgotten treasure I'd buried.
It was a thick light brown sweater with dark buttons and pockets. It still had the tags on it. It looked familiar but I knew it wasn't mine - not my style, not my size. And then I realized.. it was a birthday gift that I'd given to my mom. She was in the hospital with pneumonia after a radiation treatment. We all brought her gifts to the hospital. She loved it and said she would wear it when she got home - she made me take it home with me so I could bring it to her house after she got home. That was October 18th, 2005. She never made it home. She died in the hospital 1 week later - 10/25/2005. It was the last gift I had ever given to her.
So - at the risk of sounding like a weirdo - do you think it was just a massive coincidence that I pulled THAT sweater (that I haven't even thought of in 5 years) out of one of 10 giant boxes of clothes on the same day that I gave it to her - 5 years ago. Or is my mom saying hi??

I am a big believer that our loved ones, that have passed, come & say hi. I believe that they drop in or possibly even hang out for a bit. Out of the family members that I have lost, there have been one to many weird things that have come up that seem more like a sign than anything else.
So long winded answer to your ques....yes, I believe your mom came to say hi!

i COMPLETELY believe in signs from our love ones that have passed on. I definitely think it was a sign.

I so believe in signs like this...
When we got engaged my mom threw us a small surprise party when we arrived back from our trip ( we got engaged in FL) they told us that it looked like DH;s father was here in spirit. On the day of the party my moms light bulb popped, my DH's house lost power and his other Aunts house their light popped (they say the dead communicate through electricity and things some in 3). Then while our guests are waiting for us to arrive, 3 champagne bottles just popped open on their own.
I don't care what people think I truly think it was him celebrating with us.
