Need help feeding 13 month old with milk and egg allergy

Need some help coming up with ideas of what to feed my 13 month old. He has a egg and milk allergy. Any ideas? I feel like keep giving him the same things over and over. Thanks for any help!

You can do pancakes and substitute the egg with applesauce. I'm BFing a milk/soy/egg allergy baby so I know how difficult it can be just feeding myself!!! Chat Icon

Sorry I don't have more ideas for kid-friendly food. What does he eat normally?

DS has many food allergies so I now how you feel, meals can be a challenge.

I make him quinoa pasta - it is a complete protein and it is free of common allergens. YOu can buy it as pearls or as pasta shapes (the shaped pasta is a corn/quinoa blend)

hummus, use it as a dip or spread

waffles can be made without eggs

This link has things which can be substituted for eggs
You do have to experiment, some things don't work well with certain recipes.

We also do lots of roasted veggies, raw veggies and fresh fruits

I make oatmeal breakfast bars:
mix
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups oat bran
1 cup dried fruit(raisins, craisins etc) or chopped apple
1/4 cup backstrap molasses
3/4 apple juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1.5 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1/3 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup applesauce

pat into 9x13 pan and bake at 375 for 30 min. Cut immediately, but let them cool in pan before removing.

I use the Balckstrap molasses because it is high in iron and potassium, if your DC doesn't like the molasses flavor you can omit it and use 1 cup of apple juice. I have been adding blackstrap to my sons oatmeal since 12 monthsl and he loves it.

Good Luck!

My 13 month egg-allergic son will only eat the following... fresh fruits, English muffins, waffles, oatmeal, hummus on bread, grilled cheese (you can use a soy cheese Chat Icon ), cream cheese and jelly sandwhiches, yogurt (again, use soy), puffs and cheerios. Chat Icon

There's egg in SO much - I can't imagine coming an egg AND dairy allergy! Chat Icon
