3 yo birthday party options

So DS wants a birthday party this year. He has even been inviting his friends already!
So I have it narrowed down

Option 1- Painting party at one of those plastercraft places...they have 200 items for the kids to choose and then after about 30 minutes of painting they have a party room with dancing, party games, video games for the older kids etc Then pizza, cake etc.
Party would be a Sat they have the day I want open at this time so I can have my pick of times. They do parties starting at 10am and then every 90 minutes after that.

Option 2 - Little Gym
They do an hour of play time, with 2 instructors and then 1/2 hour of food. This party I have less time options. It can be Sat 5:30pm or Sun 10, 2 or 4

The guests are all pretty much 3-4 yo. If we do the painting party I am guessing my older neices and nephews (9, 7, 5) might be interested in coming as well.

So question 1- which would you choose (both are about the same price)

Question 2 - What time on a weekend day do you think would be best.

Thanks!

I would take into consideration the temperment of the other children you are inviting for option #1. I know we personally couldn't do that, there would be a lot of broken items. I think that is something cute for the 4/5 year old range.

The Little Gym I would do the Sunday 10am or 2pm party.

Re: 3 yo birthday party options

good point. I think there are maybe 3 kids that might need more parental help than the others. The rest I have had at my house for a painting playdate and they all were fine.

Do you think Sunday at 2 would be annoying as it would really cut into the day?

Who knew deciding on a 3yo party could be so stressful...

I asked DS what he wanted...his answer ..."No, mommy I told you I want a Thomas Party...why arent you listening to me"Chat Icon

Well amanda you wont have to worry, the first one on chris's invite list was Lauren.

There is one right by my house and there is one in Selden, my SIL also said there is one in Huntington..but not sure.
