Another Halloween Question..
So, I am going to dress up as Joan from Mad Men... As I already have the red hair, I am not doing a wig or anything-- but my hair is long and straight and I have no clue how to do it. Any suggestions?
I also got a pen necklace and I guess I will wear my most vintage-y dress or sweater and skirt...

Do you have bangs? She frequently wears her hair up, with heavy bangs. You could do a twist with curls on top.

wow-- cannot believe there is a video! I have no clue how I am going to do that to my own hair... maybe I should just pay someone to do it!! Seriously with the amount of product and time I will take testing it out-- I should just find someone to do an up do. I guess if I am not buying anything really, it's part of my costume!! Thanks for posting!

there is a youtube video for any kind of hair style or make up trip - it's crazy!!
but considering the effort you may want to go to an inexpensive hair salon for a joan updo. i can't do my hair to save my life so no amount of tutorials will help me!
