Hunter is HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12/13:
What a crazy few days. I am so happy to say that my baby is home from the hospital. I still can't believe it. He wound up staying in the ICU until late last night. He was sedated and on the ventilator until Sat night. He had developed a fever and an infection and I was seriously freaking out. Suddenly, our little Hunter came back to us and someway, somehow, he came home today.
Here's a pic from right before the surgery and a pic from today. He has about 60 staples in his head but they're coming out on Friday. He's such a strong little guy.

He's going to be just fine...
I only knew one little boy who had a sporadic case of craniosynostosis.
The surgery to correct it is no joke. But once you cross that hurtle it's all smooth sailing from there.
The little boy received some early intervention services at my daughter's school. He was a bit delayed due to surgeries. But he phased out very quickly and only attended school for part of the year.
Why is the doctor thinking its craniosynostosis and not just from positioning? Is it b/c of the point?

The dr didn't specifically mention craniosynostosis, but because he mentioned possible surgery, I'm assuming that's what he's thinking. Hunter's head is kind of pointy but I never thought of it as abnormal looking.  I need to stay off of Google.
