What are you using to clear up your acne?? I gave up Proactiv since my Dr told me not to use it. I'm hearing other girls are using it though. Ugh. I wish my dr didn't say not to. But what else is there that's safe? I'm using plain old Cetaphil as a cleanser and obviously...it sux. I have a derm appt soon, but in the meantime...my skin is ridiculous! Help!

Re: What are you using for acne?

My doc said it was fine to use Neutrogena Acne wash once a day. It has the salicylic acid, but it's a wash, not a leave on, which is more the issue....right now though I am using Basq facial wash with a little cleansing brush and it's awesome. Products are for pregnancy. I think the site is www.basqnyc.com

Re: What are you using for acne?

I asked too and I use the Neutrogena Anti Stress Power Scrub. It's not working as well as it used to, but if I'm really diligent I don't seem to break out quite as much. I've been using this for years now.

Re: What are you using for acne?

Same stuff I always use. Biore acne cleanser. Every dr says something different about salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide. My dr is fine with it this pg and my old practice was fine with it last pg. My old OB actually did this Chat Icon when I asked so I laughed. She said there's only 2% of it in the entire bottle and you're using it on such a small surface area of your body that it's nothing. If you're planning on drinking the entire bottle that's another story but any normal acne wash is fine.

Re: What are you using for acne?

I went to the dermatologist for my acne. She told me to wash with Neutrogena Acne wash and to apply erythromycin pads to my face twice a day. Both are washed off.

i have been using proactiv since the beginning ( i am 38 weeks). my doctor said it is completely fine. Everything I have researched says it fine. other doctors where i work have said it's fine. You can't read into every little thing or you will go insane. If you are that afraid to use it, then don't use it as often (the lotion).
