Need some decorating help.. please

Hi Ladies.

We just moved into our new home. It is a colonial and I am trying to figure out what to do re: paint colors. We have the staircase leading upstairs to all the bedrooms and I wanted to do a nice color. Ladies that have colonial's can you please post some pics. I love earth tone colors, browns, greens, etc. But I don't want to do too much of that either. Thank you so much,

I don't have a colonial, but we chose a nice tan color for the living room and then picked the lighter shade off the same color chip for the hallway.

If you want to do a green, check out BM Nantucket Gray it's a great color and would look great in a colonial home! We have it in our LR/DR and kitchen.

We just moved into a colonial also. We painted the stairs wall and upstairs hallways Nantucket Gray. (pic posted above my camacho). We haven't painted the downstairs at all yet, but plan on using this color in the entryway and hallway. Its a really nice color and can look gray or green depending on the light. We also plan on using this color but maybe a shade darker in our dining room (we will have a white wainscotting on the lower half of the wall).

ETA: for bedrooms we used:
Master Bedroom - Adobe Beige
Guestroom - Nantucket Gray
Landon's room - Nantucket Fog (a grey/blue) and accent wall of Adobe Beige
Twins Room - Little Angel (yellow) on top half, white wainscotting on bottom half.
Master Bath - Stone Hearth (grey/taupe color)

Thanks, Julz. OMG, I ddin't know you had twins.. That is funny that we both moved around the same time and both got colonial style homes. Where did you move again??
