A funny 15-month well visit...
Just got back from DS's 15 month visit.
First, the doctor can't find one of his testicles, and asked if he has a traveling testicle. I couldn't help it; imagining a testicle with a little suitcase, I burst out laughing, and tried to choke out "not that I am aware of..." (she did find the testicle, so I guess it's home from his travels).
Then I said he's been waking crying at night, and since he has all of his teeth and is in good health, should we let him cry? I told her we took him into our bed one night, but then he was up for 4 hours. She said "NOOOO, you're not going to want to do that unless you are going to do that every night!" Me: So should I let him cry? Her: I can't really answer that; it's up to you. But you could rock him. Me: So if I rock him, it won't turn into me rocking him every night? Her: Oh, it would, but it might be better than having him in your bed.
 Can't win!

To be honest, I don't even look closely at his parts! He's usually running and I am lucky to put the diaper on tight enough so that it doesn't fall off! I'm thinking don't ask me specifics about his privates.
