young house love rant.. a little much for me..anyone else?

ok, dont get me wrong, i think they are an ADORABLE couple!! i LOVE what they did with their place but does anyone else a little bit at some of the things they do..
i mean clearly what they do is not for my approval but some of their pictures /decor is a little too "sherry love john" "we are such a happy couple"

there are soooooooooooo many pictures of them sprinkled throughout the house.. and then they make a tradition out of everything little thing. i honestly dont know how they keep up.they seem to put sooooooo much effort into things.

jar capsules from every trip with random items in it? anniversary traditions, thumb tacks on a map of all the places they've been( which i would love to do) weekly pics of their dd with a fabric change every time ( i often wonder if they will do that for subsequent children) and i know there are others but i cant think of them right now...

maybe i am envious that they have the time or take the time to do these things?!?! i just dont think i could

I really like what they do, but I will agree with the pictures. My brother does this with his house. litterally every bedroom and bathroom has picutres of them in it, and I find it very strange, and too much.

I take pictures of everything and say I'd love to even just post them on here of all the things I've done, and I just never find the time, but they have the time because that's all they do for work now. if they don't post, they don't get paid. I wish I could do that!!

they also have admitted to having a messy "dumping gorunds" area of their home, which I was so glad to see, because how can one be so neat all the time yet have all these projects going on?!?

i can't stand "Love couples" they make me ill. I am sorry no relationship has been like that for me and I can't imagine having little hearts around photos of me and every room having something about "us in love" b/s. It was cool when you were 13 not as adults.

I like the blog for concepts/ideas but not in love with them.

I think it's become that way more because they are part of their successful product. This is all they do, both of them now, and they look around their own home for inspiration on what they can share with their readers.

I'm getting the gist of that now because I'm doing consistent weekly blogs about gardening and find myself planning tasks just so I can blog about it!

I take it all with a grain of salt, just like Martha Stewart. The average person won't be that "ON" all the time. So I pick and choose the things I can feasibly do.

IMO, they are cute. But they get too much play and there a lots of other super cool blogs out there. =).

i think it's because it's part of their job to come up with these ideas.

just like you liked the map idea, someone else may have liked the keepsake jar idea and i like the weekly baby picture idea...i think they do a bunch of things to please their audience/readers knowing not everyone will like every project that they do - and i think that is why they have so much variety of those sort of things - it's just to give ideas.

i highly doubt that they would do all of these things if it wasn't for their blog.

.......or they are just nuts!

I think anyone who describes themseves as:

"We’re Young. We’re Fun. We’re Repainting Again?!"

is way too cheesy for me!

And starting a blog how how great you are are decorating, is kind of obnoxious! I am surprised it became so popular. I am not into their style that much, but I like their kitchen.

LOL. I went to that Web site once and wasn't too impressed. Sounds like they are being a forceful in their lovey dovey ness.

i agree i think they play up the lovey doveyness a wee bit much..
but maybe its more b.c as the other posters mentioned, it is a part of their job to come up with all this crap.,

Their lovey dovey-ness doesn't bug me, but I've always thought their decorating style leaned towards cheesy. I like some of what they've done, but most of it doesn't impress me.
