1 week in the new house...

We love it. Space is great. Sasha loves running around. Are happy with all of our new furniture so far. Some things we will change, maintenance of a house vs an apt is a little overwhelming, but we knew. However, we grilled tonight on our new grill and sat outside and had dinner while the baby slept upstairs. That was nice.

BUT, we have had 2 separate leaks. Actually 3, but one we didn't need to pay to fix since it's covered in some service agreement in the sunroom. One of the other leaks requires us to gut the master bath shower AND cut out and replace sheetrock in the family/play room ceiling. Other was in the garage thank god. AND, our power keeps going out. Oh, and we might have bees somewhere. Oh, and we gotta completely rip out sheetrock in a closet in the basement cause of mold-- which we knew there was a little there, and probably is not dangerous-- but you can't be too careful. We are not using the closet at all and just keeping the door shut for now.

Seriously... we bought THE Money Pit.

I am way too tired and stressed to take pics of anything...

I feel your pain! We're in our house just over a year and there have been a few things that have popped up. But I just keep telling myself there would be things happening with whatever house we bought. It helps me not stress too much about it. :)

Yeah there's always something unexpected. Ours was a new roof and roots in our drain line, we had to cut down the tree. Hang in there - doesn't sound like anything too devastating Chat Icon Chat Icon

My cesspool collapsed the day after I closed on my house. It comes with the territory Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
